Discussion 29 - Anniversary Edition

Welcome to DISCUSSION!

Hi, everyone! Once a week, I'm going to give you a topic. All players need to do is give their opinions/stories/comments on said topic. There's nothing really formal about this, but you'll get cards for answering regardless. There's no requirement about how big or detailed of an answer you give, but try to avoid one word answers! (This is about talking, after all.)

This week's topic is ANNIVERSARIES.

Happy anniversary, Himitsu! A question you could answer (but are not limited/required to) is what kind of anniversaries do you celebrate? Is there anything you and your family or friends do every year? Any yearly holidays or celebrations you look forward to? How about vacations? What do you enjoy (or not enjoy) about anniversaries?

Since this is a special anniversary round, you'll get 2 regular cards, 1 puzzle card, and 1 special card for commenting. Prizes will be distributed throughout the week and this game ends on Thursday, April 9th. CLOSED!

The biggest anniversary I celebrate is when I got romantically together with my girlfriend. Our five year anniversary will be coming up on July 26th, which I'm very excited over. I love her very much!

I always look forward to Christmas because it's a holiday where a lot of our family does manage to get together and we do the same with Thanksgiving. We also try to have a reunion once a year, too. Vacations, sadly, aren't a thing we do yearly since it costs too much.

I enjoy the time spent with other people during that because our family has been through some rough times, and yet, we're all cheerful during this time. There's nothing about them that I don't enjoy!

My anniversary with my fiancee is special, although I guess in a few months, we'll have a new date to remember!

Hmmm I dont really celebrate any that I can think of. Maybe I do subconsciously and I don't even know! I look forward to Halloween ^p^ Mainly because thats an excuse for networks to do horror type things or something! hahaha but I dont think that really counts, should it?

The only big anniversaries I celebrate is my birthday, my mother's birthday, and my wedding anniversary. I finally got legally married to my husband last year on our 10th anniversary of being a couple, even though we been "common law married" for a couple of years. (I live in a state that still sees common law marriages as legal marriages.)

There is Christmas and that is it, sounds pretty boring but isn't every day lived a little bit of an anniversary?

Anniversary's make me feel so old....
I'll be going on 6 years with my boyfriend in September, though it's not something I really do anything special for? We're long distance so I never celebrate it with him anyway. It's kind of like any other day really. but six years...omg i'm old everyone
July 29th is another day that is always remembered for me, but not for any good reason..so it's definitely not celebrated. OH and August 31st is my parents anniversary. So there's that.
Outside of birthdays, and holidays those are the only dates that stand out.

Hm, the only anniversary that I can think of off the top of my head would be my parent's anniversaries? Typically it'd just be the two people who celebrate their anniversary but in my family, we all celebrate it together by usually going out to eat! I guess birthdays would count as anniversaries, too, in a way so I celebrate those as well~ especially my own...

there aren't really any specific any anniversaries i celebrate besides birthdays in the family. i don't really look forward to any of those except my grandparent's birthday. they share the same bday and i usually get to go out with a day after with just them to celebrate (after the celebration with the family)
