Anniversary Day 4
Enjoy the second of the throwback games!

Anniversary Day 4. Shiritori | |
Ever heard of the game Shiritori? It's a Japanese word game using the characters of words to make a chain-like pattern. In this game, we'll use a modified version of that to play our own game of Shiritori! For the purposes of the game, a starter letter will be put into play by the game mod. Then you must post a word that starts with that letter. The next person must post a word that starts with the same letter that your own word ended with. Confused? Here's an example: A > Apple > Eggplant > Toast > Turnip > Pig-Latin > Nice See what I mean? However, it can't be any old words. Each game will have a theme such as manga-ka, series names, etc. Follow the theme and the letter pattern to receive prizes. If you see the person above you has messed up, backtrack to the last valid play and go off of that one. This can be fast at the start, so please f5 liberally and check your answers! When posting your play please include the following in your comment: The word that you're using, and the number of plays you've completed, preferably in the format of 01/10. For each valid play, you'll receive two random regular cards. You can post up to 10 plays as long as they have 3 people in between them. You may continue posting after 10 plays, but you won't receive prizes for them. If you post all 10 plays, you'll receive a random pencil. For this month, the theme is... Series Titles or Celebratory Words This can include anime, manga, video games. Specific titles only, no franchises. For celebratory words, anything that has to do with celebrating, anniversaries, parties work. This game will close at the end of April! PLEASE Make sure your canon/word has not already been used during the first 2 pages. Not only will this invalidate your play, but also possibly invalidate other people's plays. |
