I have two role models in my life -- my poppa and my mom. My poppa's been a source of inspiration for me for all of my life. He's the one who, after an unfortunate fire that burned his hair salon to the ground, decided to rebuild it instead of lamenting over it. He's also been a constant source of strength that I've needed, especially since he just wants to see me be successful. My mom's my role model, too, because she's raised me for all of my life and has tried her best to give me a good life. Even though she doesn't have a lot of money to her name, she always tries to get me what I want for my birthday and for Christmas because when she sees me smile, she smiles. She's also survived a stroke and has made so much progress in the span of five months to where she's almost back to normal. I am so proud of her and I remind her of this every day I see her.
