Himitsu is my first multi-fandom TCG. Something that really stands out to me is the breadth of material that gets incorporated into decks! This month I intended to gather up images from Lux-Pain to donate as a special deck, figuring not many other people would have put themselves through the Lux-Pain experience. Imagine my surprise when I checked the Upcoming sheet and the deck was already there! Someone else did survive that game and had the same idea.
That's exactly what I'm talking about: no matter what manga/anime/game you want to donate, someone else in the game is going to love it just as much as you do. There's no impetus to stick to popular material, or recent material, or even full-color material. I don't know about anybody else but I always get excited to see someone else's enthusiasm for a canon I love. There are even card sets from specific illustrators. That's something I never would have thought of, but it turns beautiful art into something that can also be part of this game. In that same vein, I've considered a few new series based on the look and design of the art in some cards. It's definitely given me some extra excitement in donating from lesser-known canons! Now it's just a matter of gathering enough usable material for a donation, but the fun part is seeing others pop up wanting to collect something you love.
