Welcome to DISCUSSION!

Hi, everyone! Once a week, I'm going to give you a topic. All players need to do is give their opinions/stories/comments on said topic. There's nothing really formal about this, but you'll get cards for answering regardless. There's no requirement about how big or detailed of an answer you give, but try to avoid one word answers! (This is about talking, after all)

This week's topic is GAME CONSOLES.

A question you could answer (but are not limited/required to) is I DON'T PLAY GAMES BUT THE PS3 LOOKS COOL? Or, y'know, "I have a PS3 and I love it!"

You'll get 2 regular cards and 1 puzzle card for commenting. Prizes will be distributed throughout the week and this game ends on Tuesday, October 8th.

i only play PC because i'm poor LMFAO i don't even have a 3DS yet... anyway i'd love to have a PS3 and play things like the tales of games, i really want to play xillia but am limited to watching playthroughs online (i still haven't finished it...)

I used to love my consoles! Starting with the old saga master system/mega drive back when I was a kid! Oh and my atari and my commodore 64! Ah, those where the days! I'm not really up to date on the next gen consoles... I stopped buying them with the PS2 . Keep saying I'll buy myself a PS3 or something but never get around to it... I'm a bit of an old woman really! All these new fangled gaming systems and so on XD

I ♥ my PS3... Poor baby's been working hard lately, and the Texas heat finally killed my harddrive, but thanks to my sis I managed to get it fixed. Lost all my save data though crycry. I also have a couple "older ish" consoles like a Dreamcast and an original Xbox that I don't play that often, but they hold a lot of sentimental value to me as they were some of the last gifts from my uncle before he passed on.

nintendo 64 is my everything...!!! i don't think i've bought any other consoles i live the emulator life other than that hence why my video game knowledge is mostly limited to old school mario... killer instinct... snowboard kids... LMFAO I HAD A DREAM ABOUT THAT LAST ONE SO I THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A SHOUT OUT??

though recently i bought a 3ds to play ace attorney 5. my life revolves around fictional lawyers shouting at each other and it has been a sound investment thus far

My Gameboy Advance SP has a special place in my heart... The built-in light is amazing. It seems unnecessary but IT MAKES PLAYING GAMES SO MUCH BETTER. I remember years ago when I had my regular GBA and would play it in bed at night, my parents would always yell at me to go to bed because I had my light on.... But after getting the SP that was no longer an issue ahaha. So rebellious.

I also love my Nintendo 64. <3 And my 3DS. And my NES. And my Gameboy Color. And my-- *gets shot* I'm a huge Nintendo fanatic ahaha.

(also I misspelled "Gameboy" as "Gamebody" each time I think I am too sleep deprived orz)

I have a PS3, and portal 2 for it is one of my all time favorite games, but I totally love my ps2 more. What a great console. Like, if I had to pick only one console to use for the rest of eternity, it'd be the PS2.

The N64 was also such a wonderful part of my childhood.... but I totally love the gamecube lmao. I know it's like the awkward child of the nintendo family but I loved super mario sunshine and luigis mansion and paper mario thousand year door AKA the best paper mario ever and one of my fave rpgs

Right now I guess the only console I really own is a 3DS. Currently I'm finding myself in a different place each year so it's convenient, especially since I usually have to travel a long way in the process. I haven't really had a big console since my PS2 so I'm really far behind on that front! I really would like to get a more recent console because a lot of them have games that look really fun or really pretty but I feel reluctant buying one when I don't know where I'll be for the next few years. It'll definitely be something to consider when I settle down.

I own a 2DS. I'm looking for a 3DS because they fold...The 2DS doesn't fold. It's sort of too big to put in my pocket. But I love my DS because I am a Pokemon fanatic.

i have a ps3 and a 3ds as far as the "current" gen goes (i'm not ready for ps4 and xbox one to be the current gen so we're just gonna pretend it doesn't exist). i had a xbox 360 but ended up selling it because all the games i wanted were coming to ps3 exclusively. it served me well in high school when i played an obscene amount of guitar hero. i'm pretty happy with what i have now, i just wish i had a vita for dangan ronpa and a couple of other things :(

i love my ps3 since i'm jrpg trash and the ps3 almost always gets the newest coolest jrpg. the first game i got for it was valkyria chronicles it was really exciting... i finally bought a 3ds over the summer though and i love it! i just have animal crossing for it rn but it's so much fun i think i understand better why everyone was losing their minds over it last summer.

I really love my PS4 although it's... literally just a final fantasy XIV machine right now... ps3's cool too because tales and a few other things. I also have a 3DS and PS vita but I don't use the Vita very much. Still need to get danganronpa 2...

I have about every console literally (I think im missing something after Commodor), So I guess my favorite ones of all time were the Gamecube, PS2, and N64. Mainly because I feel like they had amazing games for my taste and interest. The Gamecube and PS2 brought a lot of very unique gems that just fit very well for the generation, didn't rely on such high graphics as it did for game-play (however, graphics were like 75% of the time really nice...) As well as both bringing some amazing Horror video game series. The N64 did just about the same, such a weird collection of unique 3D games that, for a lot of series, did not have anything remotely close at the time (Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, all with full 3D graphics, with them being flat 2D games up until that point.)

I do enjoy the consoles of today's generation though. I enjoy the controller for Xbox One and Xbox360 very well, it just very easy to get used to, and Hey I wont lie saying color coding crap is more effective then shapes (however, in defense Playstation does have colors assigned to there controllers, But damn be I am old and stupid for that stuff.) However, a lot of games are just not as enjoyable as late 90s-early00s games were. Some might say its a Nostalgia feeling, but for me, it feels like people are to worried to get content over story in a game, and pay attention to less details (not graphics, to much graphics.) I mean details as in like background and inspiration. A lot of games seem to have the same type of feel to them now as well, weird glares, and just... generic.

However, I am starting to think we are slowly, but surly, drawing either to a new style or away from the current games I see. (However, a lot of indie games want to look very next gen and handle like a FP game, so I guess not?)

Oh... off topic.. my bad, but yea I also like steam because its literally everything I could ever want and more (however lack of Silent Hill games... loses 6 points..) Incase anyone ever wants to add me, My name is Beezebeora on there (and on xbox and ps3.)

also best next gen console? I feel like the only one that feels better then its predecessor is the WiiU. I literally am in love with it. no, im not joking, its literal love. I plan to wed it this spring. I just love that its simple controls, DOESN'T require a freaking TV for 99% of its games, and the fact i can play it where ever I want (I have a loft bed, i can just bring the controller to bed and put it up before i sleep. its perfect!)

My Ps3 is going to get a workout because I just for Persona 4 Ultimate Arena 2 :D Basically, my PS3 is what I use for fandomy games and netflix and my xbox360 is a skyrim machine.

No PS3 but I have 3Ds' x2. Yeah, the XL came out so I impulsively bought it...No regrets though. Before that I had a DS Lite and the ancient Game Boy.

i am soulbonded to my ps3 and 3ds... they're the two that i play the most. my ps3 gets a lot of use out of it because i have a ps plus account, so FREE GAMES HELL YEAH. also tales of xillia has wrecked me, thank u sony + bamco

i also have a ps vita (also with a billion games, thanks ps plus) and a wii u, but that's pretty much a mk8 machine until smash bros. comes out!

as for older consoles, my ~very first~ was a gba sp, which i still have and love to snap open and close because i'm easily distracted. after that came my gamecube, wii, and ds lite, all of which are still functional! i was pretty much raised on nintendo haha...

i have my little brother's ps3 in my room atm since i'm.. supposed to be playing through stories of the shinsengumi but i'm a lazy ass when it comes to consoles and how it takes 3 years to turn them on LMFAO GKDGKDF so now it's just there to freak me out when my little brother accidentally turns it on from the other room

the most recent system i have is a PS3, pfft. everything else is older. i want to get a 3DS...eventually and probably a PS4 but unfortunately that'll be in like 5 years most likely.

the PS2 will always and forever be my baby though, best game library hands down. (though i will concede that the DS is pretty great because it's partially backwards compatible the more new consoles get developed the angrier i get because i'm still playing stuff made in the 90s dammit and i really like games that take advantage of the dual screen system like twewy.)

/stares at ps3 forelornly. I'm such a bad gamer somtimes... Even though I have some pretty amazing games, I rarely boot the poor thing up and play with it. It's like that lonely kid in the corner... but my poor psp, ps2, and dsi have it worse. They're sitting on the desk in my closet under a pile of clothes, because I have the attention span of a pixie and my face is in front of my computer 95% of the time.

Every game console I own or have owned includes: A NES, Nintendo 64 (baby's first game console), Game Boy Color, Nintendo Gamecube, Game Boy Advance/SP, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3! N64 will always be my favorite because of the nostalgia I associate with it and all those great memories but the consoles I use the most are the 3DS and the PS3. The PS3 is great for JRPGs and the 3DS is great for... well, everything! I love portable gaming because it means I can lay in bed for hours because I am lazy.
