This Month's Questing is now CLOSED

Hi, everyone. Since we didn't have Questing last month, this month's prizes are bigger than usual!

If you've ever played an RPG or an MMO, you'll probably have to complete a quest or two. When you go on these quests, you work a little or a lot and when you're done, you get a reward! This is a TCG version of that. Complete a job and get a prize!

Also in RPGs/MMOs, tasks are based on skill level. Some players are at different levels than others. In an MMO, it would be a little ridiculous for a Level 3 Tree Elf to a quest that was Level 82, wouldn't it? So some tasks can be based on your status in the TCG. This is based on what your level is when the game is posted. So if you're a level 2 now and you end up a level 6 by the end of this round, you still complete the quest that falls within the level ranks that you were when the game opened (so wherever 2 falls). Also, if you do not put your choice cards or your grand prize in your comments I will not give them to you.

All tasks must be completed after this round has gone up, which includes all comments posted. If you posted a mastery/service comment/trade before the round goes up, it does not count. Cards can be gotten from any time, though, unless specified. Please do not post your tasks if they aren't complete. You do not have to earn the cards this month/game cycle unless otherwise stated.

Also, Questing will be a fluctuating game. Sometimes it will have general tasks, sometimes themed tasks. For this round, the subject matter is Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Thank you to Kiri for providing the prize write-ups!

Ready to see the quests for this round?

I. Vongola Decimo

Tsuna is always getting bad grades in school and his usual tort...err tutor is busy away on a mission. Help Tsuna out by bringing him 6 substitute tutors and save him, I mean help him with his grades! Even a small improvement will help since he only got a 15/100 on his last Math Exam.

TASK: Bring cards of 6 Intelligent characters to tutor Tsuna.

PRIZE: 12 random single cards, 3 random puzzle cards.

II. Storm Guardian

Gokudera is a staunch believer that the mysterious beings known as UMAs, or Unidentified Mysterious Animals exists. Recently, he has reason to believe that UMAs are indeed on Earth and are using the guise of "Mascots" to prevent anyone from finding them. To discern the truth, he needs to meet some of these so called "Mascots".

TASK: Bring cards of 4 Mascot characters so Gokudera can interview them.

PRIZE: 8 random single cards, 2 random puzzle cards.

III. Sun Guardian

Sasagawa is the extreme Captain of the Boxing Club. He always respects strong people and does everything "to the extreme!" as he would say. Show him how extreme and dedicated you can be.

TASK: Earn 200 cards (counted by worth) from Games & Services during the Month of February to show Sasagawa your dedication to the Himitsu community. Questing rewards will not count for this task.
NOTE: Members Level 1-5 only have to earn 100 cards worth.

PRIZE: 14 random single cards, 1 pencil currency set, 2 milks.

IV. Lightning Guardian

Lambo loves his candy, especially the grape-flavored ones. He is usually very stingy with sharing his candy. But, if he's with someone whom he really likes, Lambo will "graciously" offer them one piece from his vast collection of candy.

TASK: Gift 15 people to show Lambo what being gracious really means!
NOTE: Members Level 1-5 only need to gift 7 people.

PRIZE: 6 choice singles, 4 choice puzzles, 4 choice specials

V. Rain Guardian

Yamamoto is the star of the school's baseball team. However, recently he has had a hard time making the baseball teams practice sessions. He feels bad about it, but he also feels that taking up the way of the sword is more important to him.

TASK: Yamamoto wants to know if there's a time in which you had to pick between two things you love. Or if you haven't, is there anything you regret not doing or trying before?

PRIZE: 4 random single cards, 1 magazine.

VI. Cloud Guardian

Hibari is the scary disciplinarian of the school. He is even strong enough to make Yakuza pay him protection money. Since we are lower than even Yakuza in his eyes, we are required to pay multiple tributes to him or else he'll wreck all of our games and activities! However, we do not have the funds to pay him and need your help to pacify him.

TASK: Since Hibari loves Namimori, use each feasible Service at least once (Book Donation, Exchange, Grabby Hands, Level Ups, Masteries, Shop) to improve Namimori in lieu of paying him. However, there must at least one day in between each day you use a service, so you cannot use them all on the same day! For Level Ups and Masteries, link to your logs since they are automated.

PRIZE: 10 random single cards, 3 random special cards.

VII. Mist Guardian #1

Chrome is quite shy and timid. Neither Ken nor Chikusa has any interest in speaking with her and hear dear Mukuro-sama is still in the Vendicare Prison, so she is quite lonely. Bring her some friends she can open up to and go have fun with

TASK: Max out your Deck Donations for February (including special/puzzle, but not including any extra coupons you have) to gather friends for Chrome. Be aware that the deadline for donations this month is February 27!

PRIZE: 8 random single cards, 2 random special cards, choice cards with a total worth of 6.

VIII. Mist Guardian #2

Mukuro has been experimented on by the Estraneo family as a child. He claims that his body has gone through all six paths to Hades. Each path has granted him a powerful skill and as a result the "Six Paths of Reincarnation" is carved into his mind.

TASK: Play one weekly or biweekly game more than once this month. The more times you play the same game, the larger the reward. Just as the more paths Mukuro has traveled though the more skills he gains. (eg. playing Buzz In 24, 25, 26 & 27 would be playing the same game 4 times.)

PRIZE: 6 random single cards for playing the same game twice, 10 random single cards and choice cards with a total worth of 6 for playing the same game three times, 15 random single cards & 2 random special cards & 2 random puzzle cards & choice cards with a total worth of 8 if you manage to play the same game all four times in a month.

Bonus. The Ladies

Kyoko and Haru thanks everyone with helping them with their Valentines Day shopping!

Kyoko and Haru are busy preparing their hand-made chocolates for Valentine's Day. Alas, due to the involvement of a certain Poison Scorpion, all of their hard work is gone! And unfortunately neither of them has any time between now and Valentine's Day to make more. But thankfully they remember a shop that sells very delicious Thank You Chocolates. However there are so many flavors and they don't know which one to choose!

TASK: Turn in cards that spell out your favorite flavor of chocolate! (It can be anything from simple milk chocolate to dark raspberry mint.) However, you must do so BEFORE FEBRUARY 14 so that Kyoko and Haru can give out their chocolates!

PRIZE: Two random single cards per each letter in your word, maxing at 14 letters. You can spell out a flavor longer than 14 letters if you choose, but you’ll only be rewarded for the first 14 letters. If your word is 7 letters or longer, you’ll also receive 2 random special, 2 random puzzle, and 2 milk cartons as additional rewards.

The Grand Prize
GRAND PRIZE A: One Time Shopping Spree @ Bookstore & Shop, so long as you have enough currency for the purchase (you can turn in any currency amount you like instead of limits, but only for one visit). GRAND PRIZE B: +2 Cards from Games in March (remember to present your coupon when playing games).

When posting your quests, do so in the following format: First, post a comment with your logs/card post and the subject line of "YOUR NAME'S QUEST THREAD - LEVEL #". When you've completed a quest, then respond to that thread with the proof of completion and the subject line saying what task you completed (TASK 4, etc). Please note if you complete the bonus too. When you post the task that completes all of them, also put COMPLETE in the subject line. That way I'm sure you've done everything. You can complete tasks out of order!

No more than one card per deck for both freebies combined. Any deck type is fine and the letter just needs to be somewhere in the deck name. You don't need to add what you take to your comment, just make sure to log them!

hello, i have a question about task III: how exactly do we show proof for 1/200 cards?
would i have to make two separate logs - one for weekly games and one for just questing (i'd like to be sure) or something to that effect?

While I've never been in a situation that has forced me to choose between to things I love, I do have things that I regret not doing before. In particular, I had wish that there were opportunities I could take advantage of to really explore the things I might have liked to do before college or even high school. Sometimes I wonder if I had, if I'd have even more opportunities to explore other areas even further. For 2 1/2 years of college I found myself stubbornly sticking to the major I picked when I applied and couldn't see anything outside of it. They say hindsight is 20/20 and it really is.
