Discussion 26

Welcome to DISCUSSION!
Hi, everyone! Once a week, I'm going to give you a topic. All players need to do is give their opinions/stories/comments on said topic. There's nothing really formal about this, but you'll get cards for answering regardless. There's no requirement about how big or detailed of an answer you give, but try to avoid one word answers! (This is about talking, after all)
A question you could answer (but are not limited/required to) is do you love sequels or hate them? Are they ever as good as the first installment? Is there a show/game/etc. you like that you wish had gotten a sequel?
You'll get 2 regular cards and 1 puzzle card for commenting. Prizes will be distributed throughout the week and this game ends on

For example, I loved Gatchaman II a lot more than the original Gatchaman anime to the point I would say it's one of Tatsunoko's greatest animes. I really love how polar opposite and refreshing Gundam ZZ was to Z Gundam even though most Gundam fans don't.
However, the sequels to Sorcerous Stabber Orphen and Weiß Kreuz were horrible and probably something I try my hardest to forget that they were even created. They ruined the characters so much, it made me want to smash my head on a wall.
I was and still am sad that the sequel for Martian Successor Nadesico was canceled in the pre-production stage, even though that was over ten years ago. I would have like to see what they would have done with it and if it would have been just as crazy.

i trust adapted manga sequels since those never let me down (that i know of)
Berg Katse cackles evilly and makes it so that everyone commenting has to watch the sequel of their least favorite anime

but no really, i think sequels should be treated more or less the same as anything else. sometimes they're great, sometimes they're not. of course, no one likes having the same issue dragged out and rehashed over multiple installments.
