Welcome to DISCUSSION!

Hi, everyone! Once a week, I'm going to give you a topic. All players need to do is give their opinions/stories/comments on said topic. There's nothing really formal about this, but you'll get cards for answering regardless. There's no requirement about how big or detailed of an answer you give, but try to avoid one word answers! (This is about talking, after all)

This week's topic is GENRES.

A question you could answer (but are not limited/required to) is what are your favorite genres? Are there any you totally hate? Do you have favorite tropes associated with certain genres, or tropes you dislike? Are certain genres better as specific mediums (e.g. horror games > horror movies)? What series would you recommend for people who enjoy a specific genre?

You'll get 2 regular cards and 1 puzzle card for commenting. Prizes will be distributed throughout the week and this game ends on Thursday, March 26th. CLOSED!

I love the sappy shoujo romances. Kimi Ni Todoke, Fruits Basket, that kinda thing. I also like sci-fi elements in pretty much anything.

I cannot STAND harem animes. I find them so boring. -_-

My favorite animanga genre is the Super Robot genre. (You totally can't tell with my Getter Robo icon, ne?)

I do love the mecha genre in general, but I tend to love the Super Robot side more than the Real Robot one. My favorite Super Robot series are Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Muteki Koujin Daitarn 3, the J-9 series (Bryger, Baxinger, & Sasuraiger), Rokushin Gattai GodMars, the Robot Romance Trilogy (Combattler V, Voltes V, & Toushou Daimos), the original Raideen anime, and Mirai Robo Daltanias. Getter Robo is the one I actually collect merch for, though. Also, I can't wait for the new J-9 anime, Galaxy Divine Wind Jinraiger, that's supposed to start next year.

However, my favorite mecha animes of all time just happen to fall under the Real Robot genre: Space Runaway Ideon, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Macross 7, and Super Dimensional Century Orguss.

I don't really dislike any genre of anime, maybe other than horror as I am a pansy and slice-of-life as I find them super boring.

My favourite is shounen. I love the action in it, it always keeps things interesting. Though as long as the plot is good I'll watch it, no matter the genre, or if I find it amusing somehow. Like Gintama has no plot...ever, but it's super amusing, and the characters are easy to like. Same with Free (sorry free fans) but the plot is not something I"d ever watch that anime for, it's absolutely the characters to why I watch it haha.

The only genre I will stay away from is horror. Me and horror do not mix well together.
