Welcome to DISCUSSION!

Hi, everyone! Once a week, I'm going to give you a topic. All players need to do is give their opinions/stories/comments on said topic. There's nothing really formal about this, but you'll get cards for answering regardless. There's no requirement about how big or detailed of an answer you give, but try to avoid one word answers! (This is about talking, after all)

This week's topic is FAVORITE CHARACTERS.

A question you could answer (but are not limited/required to) is who are your all-time favorite characters? Do a lot of your favorite characters share similar traits, or is it a surprise every time who your favorite turns out to be? Do you prefer protagonists or antagonists? Main characters or side characters? Are your favorites your faves for life, or do you go through new favorites a lot?

We're back to your regularly scheduled prizes this week, so you'll get 2 regular cards and 1 puzzle card for commenting. Prizes will be distributed throughout the week and this game ends on Thursday, April 23rd.

My favorite characters jump depending on the other characters and the character. Sometimes I can like someone purely on looks, or purply on personality, sometimes I might like someone because I hate all the other characters :'). Sometimes its obvious who i'll like by past characters (ex. I like all the Orange/Yellow precures so far, so most likely Ill like the next) I tend to stick with a favorite for a while, sometimes I get a new one, but I don't like dislike a character less (like in Pokemon, new generations always bring new Favorites, but I still like the previous ones I favorited before.)

there's a theme this weekend up in himitsu

my all-time favorite character is kumoi yuuri, BUT IT'S... kind of really hard to talk about her without spoiling most of the series. very plot relevant, much character development. beautiful cinnamon roll to good for this world, too pure

I don't tend to have many favorite characters but they usually follow a pattern of blond hair (laughs)
My all time favorite would be Alibaba and Kougyoku from Magi but other than that I love characters with energetic and happy-go-lucky personality! Usually the main character sometimes..

For male characters, I often like the cool-yet-mysterious/lone wolf types (Asakura Joe from Gatchaman, Jin Hayato from Getter Robo, Naniwa Juuzou from Combattler V), the flirty playboy (Oscar from Angelique and Yoji from Weiß Kreuz), or the mischievous brat (Judau Ashta from Gundam ZZ).

With female characters, I normally only like the strong, yet tragic, female warrior types like Mamiya from Hokuto no Ken and Rydia from Final Fantasy IV.

my character taste is all over the place, i dont even know where to start, i lean towards little shits, shy girls, witches/magical girls and tragic characters. like if i see a character who looks likes my type or i just really like their design i will immediately read/watch whatever they're from just to get to them haha

to give you a glimpse a few of my favorites include beatrice (umineko), usagi (sailor moon) rui (gcrowds) homura (pmmm) judar (magi) and more recently gowther (nnt)

I have several fave characters, ranging from the ones I first ever fell in love with (Duo Maxwell!) to recent ones. But they all seem to have a bit of a TYPE to them~ I like the funny ones, the goofy dork types that have a serious side to them.

my typical faves are sort of predictable...
i really like confident people who know exactly what they want (Setsuna-kunnnnn from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 ❤)! i also have a strong weakness for blonds (Mika from ONS, Slaine from A/Z) and also a certain red-haired tsundere with his trademark shark teeth... (i've started to play tkrb and oh my god Iwa is making me swoon i need him to take care of me and all of my other swords) typically i don't like the really carefree/nice characters because i think they're a little boring but i stan Shima from AnE too hord he's so precious

i also LOVE ALL GIRLS because girls are amazing

i'm very shallow when it comes to anime characters... if you're ugly to me i won't stan you lol

Tony Tony Chopper from One Piece is p much my favorite anime character ever, but give me a non-human character with a lot of development/backstory and I'm pretty much garanteed to fall for them.

I always look for a "good" guy favorite Character and "bad" guy favorite Character.

Kakashi is on of my all time favorite characters, followed by Orochimaru in the series. Kakashi has silver hair and found I do like character that of more silver/gray hair for some reason. xD Silver Headed bishies are always my favorite!

my favorite character ever ever ever is julius kresnik from tales of xillia, i don't know how to talk about him without devolving into a screaming crying fit, i can't even replay the game or watch letsplays of the game because i start freaking out. it has become a problem that no medicine can cure.

I have a lot of favourite characters...
Maes Hughes is my favourite from FMA (which is my favourite series). I will forever be heartbroken over his fate.

Recently I've fallen in love with Mikaela Hyakuya from Owari No Seraph/Seraph of the End. I don't even know much about his story considering its still new, but every time I see him in the anime/manga my heart breaks and I just get gooey. It's a real problem.

Then there is my all time husbando, Lavi. Who is permanently MIA.

My faves DEFINITELY follow a trend. My friends can almost always guess who my fave is gonna be = v = I always love GENIUSES OF HARDWORK (Hajime, Rock Lee), cursed children (Ashura, Anemone, every ikuni kid), wild child babies (~*~HIYOKO SAIONJI~*~, Kouha Ren), and sweet powdered donut angels (Chiyo Sakura, Renge). Since catching up with Noragami manga and weeping over Yato, I have realized that what ALL my faves have in common is that they're always the ones I see myself in, or strive to be like ✧٩( 'ω' )و ✧

I have sooo many faves across the board omg this is hard...i think my favorite characters are ones that I can relate to deeply, or ones that I admire and inspire me....some of my all time favorite characters are Phoenix Wright, Makoto Tsukimoto, Ganaha Hibiki, Genkai, Hajime Ichinose, Riza Hawkeye and Yotsuba Koiwai!

As for trends I seem to like characters that "fight for justice", and are optimistic and determined. I also really like characters that are strange/eccentric/..ridiculous but essentially good-hearted (•ө•) I have a soft spot for chuunibyou characters, dorky n gap moe or characters that are, as my friends would put it, "plain embarrassing" LMAO.

I find antagonists with a lot of depth quite interesting at most but my faves always end up being protags.

.....ok well i seem to have a lot of problematic faves and honestly most of them make me wanna 😭 my loves are josuke higashikata (my number one love honestly), azusa miura, tsubasa amaha, tsunashi takuto, THE LIST CAN GO ON AND ON! I think i always fall for the characters that are happy go lucky, strange in a sense, people who truly care about those around them. I definitely love characters more when i find ways/traits that are similar between us of general things I can relate to. and when I do end up loving a character i end up loving them for life tbh I have faves from when I was little that I still really do care about and get teary eyed for
