Hot damn, this is my jam! Ah, but what was it called again? In this game, your task is to listen to the music behind the cut and tell me the song's name, the artist's name, and the series it comes from. For providing the correct answers, you'll be rewarded with 2 singles + 1 puzzle!

enough oldies... for now )

This round is now closed!

Last round's answers was "Lum's Love Song" by Yuuko Matsutani from Urusei Yatsura. I know that a lot of sites provide the common misreading of her name (Hiroko Matsuya), so those who answered with that will be getting prizes anyway.

At Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan, one will often find a site to purchase an omikuji, or a random fortune, for a small price. They hope to draw a blessing for the future, rather than a curse. Those who do draw a cursed slip tie it to a tree in hopes of negating their poor fortune ahead. But those who are blessed have much to look forward to... or so they say.

Maybe you're not superstitious, but a small offering will appease the Himitsu gods and maybe even grant you a blessing! But our omikuji will be slightly kinder than the ones at shrines. Anyway, here's how the game works:

1 card will buy you 1 fortune, so it must be a single card. You can only buy 1 fortune per round. Your fortune will be determined by a randomizer. Simple enough, right? Here are the possible results:

大吉 (daikichi, "great blessing") - 7 random single cards, 1 random puzzle card, 1 random special card, 1 random pencil.
中吉 (chuukichi, "average blessing") - 5 random single cards, 1 random puzzle card, 1 milk
小吉 (shoukichi, "small blessing") - 3 random single cards
半吉 (hankichi, "half-blessing") - 1 random single card
半凶 (hankyou), "half-curse") - You don't win anything... but you do get to keep the card you used to buy your fortune. Basically, nothing happens. :,)
凶 (kyou, "curse") - You don't win anything, and you lose the card you used to purchase your fortune. :(
大凶 (daikyou, "great curse") - You don't win anything, you lose the card you used to purchase your fortune, and the next time you play, your entry will cost you an extra card. Bummer! Better tie that puppy to the nearest tree for better luck next time.

The cards used to purchase fortunes will all go into the Grabby Hands pile (unless you draw the half-curse fortune). If you drew a great curse in the last round you played in, please note that in your comment; we'll operate on the honor system since I will forget after awhile. :)

This round will end September 9th at 6:00PM EST.

It looks like Inuyasha is causing some trouble for poor Ranma... Well, while they get it sorted out, can you help me? I'm thinking of this old series but I can't remember its name...

Throwback Thursday (or #tbt) commemorates the anime, manga, and games of yore. (Yore = original debut in 2001 or earlier.) Based on the provided clue, can you tell me the title of what I'm thinking of and its original Japanese release year? I'll give you 3 random single cards for your trouble!
There's this really long series... you've probably never heard of it... about a girl who falls down a well and ends up 500 years in the past in Sengoku era Japan. She is attacked by a demon and is saved by a half-dog demon spirit, plus it turns out that she's the reincarnation of some priestess...? Anyway, they have to work together to find the shards of this crazy powerful jewel. Yeah, no one will be able to get this one.

This round will end September 11th at 6:00PM EST. Closed!

Last round's answer: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers released in 1997.

Ciel and the gang are on the hunt for cards...would you like to help them? They'll share the clues with you, and maybe you can solve the mystery of the lost cards for them! Based on the clues provided, can you find the card that they're looking for?

    1. This is card has a girl in it.
    2. The card number is somewhere in the last 1/3 of the deck.
    3. The person is crying.

There will definitely be one card that fits all the criteria. But sometimes more than one card may do the job! If your card isn't the specific card they have in mind, then it's okay, but it still must fit all the criteria. You'll still get an equal prize. Also the card will always be a character card unless otherwise specified.

Respond with the card name and number and you'll receive 4 random cards!

NEW RULE: Please include the card image AND text in your response! This makes it sooooo much easier for me. Not doing so = no prizes!

This round will end on 11th.

Eeek! I was handing out rewards and my klutzy self dropped a card. Can you help me figure out what it is? Maybe I stepped on it, too...

And this time it looks like I dropped three...ugh, this is really a mess. Can you please help me figure out which cards they are? I need the deck name AND number! For each one I'll give you a treat of two cards.

This game closes on September 10th!
