Current Jackpot: 30!
Last round's jackpot winner of 55 cards: Vilya! Congratulations!

Roll up, roll up, and try your luck at winning the greatest fortune Himitsu has to offer... at a tiny price.

Windfall is a lottery game. Every week you will have the opportunity to "purchase" tickets with cards, and the cards you use to purchase your tickets will go into The Pot. At the end of the week a number is drawn and whoever chose the winning number wins The Pot and takes home all the cards! Simple enough, right?

As I mentioned last week, the first round was a test run, so I've modified the rules given the participation. Please read them before playing!
NEW Rules:
1) A single ticket costs 1 card. You may contribute puzzle or special cards (worth 2 each) to buy 2 entry tickets. (i.e. you could buy 3 chances to win with 1 single card and 1 special card.)
2) Players may purchase a maximum of 5 tickets per round.
3) Players will choose the numbers on their tickets. Choose numbers between 1 and 49 (yes, numbers 1 and 49 are choices as well).
4) In the event that multiple players choose the winning number, the pot will be divided equally between them, with the cards being split by a randomizer.
5) In the event that no players choose the winning number, the pot will carry on to the next round. If the pot makes it to a third round with no direct winner, the closest guesser(s) will win the pot and the pot will start fresh again in the following round.

The winning number for each week will be determined by the BLUE BONUS BALL HERE. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, August 1st at 12:01AM EST, meaning the Lotto Max round we use for the winning number will be drawn later that night. If you edit your comment after the deadline, your entries will be disqualified.

To play, fill out the following form and comment with it! All comments will remain screened.

*Note: Before the Lotto Max drawing last night, Thu pointed out to me that the white ball numbers are organized in numerical order rather than random order, hence the switch to the blue bonus ball.

It looks like Inuyasha is causing some trouble for poor Ranma... Well, while they get it sorted out, can you help me? I'm thinking of this old series but I can't remember its name...

Throwback Thursday (or #tbt) commemorates the anime, manga, and games of yore. (Yore = original debut in 2001 or earlier.) Based on the provided clue, can you tell me the title of what I'm thinking of and its original Japanese release year? I'll give you 3 random single cards for your trouble!
Time traveling sure gets messy, doesn't it? When a teleporter test goes wrong, the princess who volunteered for the test is kidnapped -- 400 years in the past! Luckily, her friends come to her rescue, only to end up in the future to discover that in another 999 years, their world will be wiped out by a monster. The hero, the princess, and their mechanic pal team up with some unlikely allies -- a repaired robot, a fierce cavewoman, an anthropomorphic frog, and a sorcerer -- to save their world's past, present, and future.

This round will end July 31st at 6:00PM EST. Closed!

At Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan, one will often find a site to purchase an omikuji, or a random fortune, for a small price. They hope to draw a blessing for the future, rather than a curse. Those who do draw a cursed slip tie it to a tree in hopes of negating their poor fortune ahead. But those who are blessed have much to look forward to... or so they say.

Maybe you're not superstitious, but a small offering will appease the Himitsu gods and maybe even grant you a blessing! But our omikuji will be slightly kinder than the ones at shrines. Anyway, here's how the game works:

1 card will buy you 1 fortune, so it must be a single card. You can only buy 1 fortune per round. Your fortune will be determined by a randomizer. Simple enough, right? Here are the possible results:

大吉 (daikichi, "great blessing") - 7 random single cards, 1 random puzzle card, 1 random special card, 1 random pencil.
中吉 (chuukichi, "average blessing") - 5 random single cards, 1 random puzzle card, 1 milk
小吉 (shoukichi, "small blessing") - 3 random single cards
半吉 (hankichi, "half-blessing") - 1 random single card
半凶 (hankyou), "half-curse") - You don't win anything... but you do get to keep the card you used to buy your fortune. Basically, nothing happens. :,)
凶 (kyou, "curse") - You don't win anything, and you lose the card you used to purchase your fortune. :(
大凶 (daikyou, "great curse") - You don't win anything, you lose the card you used to purchase your fortune, and the next time you play, your entry will cost you an extra card. Bummer! Better tie that puppy to the nearest tree for better luck next time.

The cards used to purchase fortunes will all go into the Grabby Hands pile (unless you draw the half-curse fortune). If you drew a great curse in the last round you played in, please note that in your comment; we'll operate on the honor system since I will forget after awhile. :)

This round will end July 29th at 6:00PM EST. Closed!

Uh-oh! Looks like Makoto Naegi's found himself in a bit of trouble with Monokuma once again, and to make matters worse, he's clumsily spilled all of his evidence on the courtroom floor. Help Makoto unscramble his clues and prove his innocence in the classroom trial or face an untimely and gruesome execution!

You will be provided with five words to unscramble with a given theme each week. For each correct answer, you will receive 1 random single card. If you manage to solve all five, you will receive 1 more random single and 1 random special, for a total of 6 possible singles and 1 special. The answers must be spelled correctly in order to win the prizes!

Last week's answers: Nanoha Takamachi, Love Momozono, Setsuna Meioh, Madoka Kaname, Miyu Edelfelt. The culprit was Madoka. But don't worry, someone will certainly reset the timeline once they discover the grisly fate Monokuma has in store for her.

This week's trial features Persona characters. This round will end Saturday, July 26th, 12:01PM EST.
