This idea was largely inspired by Color's 2014 Valentine's Event!

For this side-event, you'll have the ability to be Santa Clause to your friends and family here at Himitsu. Whereas mods are usually the only ones who can give you choice cards, whether from a service or of our own volition, for this event the tables are a bit turned. You'll hear more about the true Christmas event later, though.

To participate, you'll be buying the right to give your friends choice cards. Essentially, you become St. Nick! You have the ability to buy one of each of the following:

Buying this set, you can gift five different people choice regular cards.
Price: 5 regular cards

Buying this set, you can gift fifteen different people choice regular cards.
Price: 15 regular cards

Buying this set, you can gift twenty-five different people choice regular cards.
Price: 25 regular cards

Buying this set, you can gift fifteen people choice puzzle or special cards.
Price: 30 regular cards

You can grab all four sets or only one or two. It's up to you! You cannot buy four 25 card sets though. One of each! Once you've made your purchase, you can start leaving people gifts at their trade posts!

Here are the rules

- You may not gift yourself.
- For the three regular choice sets, if you buy two or all three, all of those cards must be given to different people. Getting the 25 card and 5 card sets mean 30 different people. There's 45 active Himitsu members, don't worry. Gifting inactive people can work in a pinch though.
- For the special/puzzle 15 card set, you MAY double up. Meaning if I bought the 5 card set and the 15 sp/pz set, I could give Shannon one from each.
- These can go towards your card count BUT won't count as a traded gift for trading achievements.
- You don't need to log when you gift someone a card to avoid confusion with your trade count, but you DO need to log when you receive a card from someone.

You will be rewarded for your purchase, though! While you won't get back every single card you used to pay for your boxes in randoms, you'll receive a reward for successfully giving out all the candy you get in a set.

- Completing 5 Card Set: 3 random regular, 1 milk
- Completing 15 Card Set: 10 random regular, 1 magazine
- Completing 25 Card Set: 15 random regular, 1 random puzzle, 1 random special
- Completing 15 Card Pz/Sp Set: 5 random puzzle, 5 random special, 2 random pencils

To buy a box, please fill out the following form and reply to the post with it:

To prove that you gave out all of your cards in that set do the following:
- Include your set graphic in your comment with the card(s) you're giving out.
- Comment to this thread with the completed form.

Ask questions in this thread. This event will last until January 3rd so you have until then to post your proof of charity. If you don't, then no random cards for you!

Come on, Himitsu, let's go trick or treating!

In honour of me being a lazy shit AGAIN and skipping out on my games for a week, here's some repayment. In a pixel hunt, go to the Himitsu site and locate nine halloween pixels. Click them to knock of the door and receive your candy for trick or treating.

There are nine different pixels in nine different areas. The last pixel is a little harder to find, but offers the biggest reward! Also, just log your rewards on your own page, don't post them here.

This game will close November 2nd!

Welcome to Himitsu's HAUNTED HOUSE!

This is a one time Halloween event game that lasts until NOVEMBER 2ND. This is a choose your own adventure type game, and you get rewarded for each choice you make, as well as a bonus if you manage to get to a special end. Here are the guidelines!

1.) I'll be giving you three options, called routes. The first set of choices will be at the end of this post.
2.) You comment to this post with your choice, and I give you a specific reward that was assigned to that choice, as well as a set of new choices if yours did not end up in a dead end.
3.) Each comment gets a prize, even if you picked a route that doesn't end in treasure!
4.) The end of the haunted house will be after three choices. If you manage to choose correctly, you'll get an extra prize for making it to the end.
5.) I'll be linking a post with the answers that will be available for everyone to check later one, in case I made a mistake! Or if you just want to read over my weird story.
6.) Everything will be screened until the game is over. SINCE DREAMWIDTH ISN'T NOTIFYING PEOPLE WHEN I REPLY/WON'T SHOW YOU MY RESPONSES everything is unscreened. I won't be policing if you take a look at other answers or anything like that.
7.) Since this game is dependent on myself and yourself making comments, if you join in late and somehow we carry over the deadline, we'll keep going until NOVEMBER 8TH.

PRIZES ARE AS SUCH:
- Each choice nets you two single cards and two candies.
- A treasure end will get you three single cards, two special, two puzzle and six candies. There are nine treasure ends in all!
- So the maximum you can win is seven singles, two special, two puzzle and ten candies!

TL;DR? I give you three routes to pick from, and you get cards no matter what. Here's your first choice!

You enter the house, feeling nervous as a loud hoot echoes from behind you. There's nowhere else to stay tonight, and you hope this place has a phone so you can call for roadside assistance. You enter into a large ballroom, with stairs that go up to a second floor, a small door to the left that is slightly ajar, and a larger set of doors to the right.

CHOICE A- Go up the stairs to the second floor.

CHOICE B- Go through the open door to the left.

CHOICE C- Attempt to open the doors on the right.

Good luck, players!

For this Halloween game, all you have to do is have either a knowledge of Himitsu or decent snooping skills. To get this out of the way you can easily find all quiz answers on either this comm or the trade comm. But the game is basically what it says on the tin. You'll be taking a quiz about Himitsu! Let's look at the questions:

1. What day was the Himitsu Friending Meme put up (mmdd format)?
2. What was the name of the first game posted to Himitsu?
3. Who donated the first set of graphics?
4. Can you donate a puzzle and a special deck in the same month normally?
5. What was the first deck officially mastered at Himitsu?
6. In Gathering 01, what is the name of the canon shown in hiddengems16?
7. What are the colours of the flowers in flower picking (in alphabetical order)?
8. If you add up the totals of all the Windfall jackpots, what would it be?

How will you answer these? By typing them into a Himitsu link. To see if your answer is correct, input a link into your browser like so:

http://himitsu.loveinvasion.net/YOURANSWER.php

Put your answer into the link like that and hit enter. If your answer is right then you will be brought to a page with two random candy and some other form of a reward. If not, then you will get a blank page, 404, something. Very obviously not a prize.

The answers should be pretty easy to find so no hints will be given. You may have to do a bit of light math. That's pretty much it. Have fun getting your prizes! Also, please log your rewards as Candy Quiz (Question 1): or something to that effect.

This game ends on November 2nd.
