A boy stumbles across a haunted Go board and meets the spirit of a long-dead Go player who eventually possesses him. At first he is not interested in the game, but by the spirit's urging and guidance he eventually discovers a natural inclination for it and begins playing Go competitively, building a rivalry and making friends along the way as he plays his way to the top.
